Shimin was born in Jiujiang, Jiangxi, China. He received his BSc from Zhejiang University at 2014 and his PhD from the University of Toronto at 2019. Then he was a EIPOD fellow at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) from 2020 to 2021. He started the COmics Lab at SUSTech from Fall 2021. He lives with two cats, Stella and Momo. He loves reading, gaming, traveling and other fun things.

世民出生于江西九江。他于2014年在浙江大学获得理学学士学位，随后于2019年在加拿大多伦多大学获得博士学位（PhD）。2020到2021年间，他获得了由欧盟玛丽·居里项目共同资助的EIPOD博士后奖学金，并在欧洲分子生物学实验室（EMBL）完成博士后训练。他从2021年秋天起在南方科技大学组建了自己的课题组。他现在和他的两只猫Stella和Momo住在一起。他喜欢阅读、打游戏、旅行和其它有趣的事情。

Rongquan comes from Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. He completed his Ph.D. studies under Dr. Wen Liu's supervision at Xiamen University in 2020. He stayed in Dr. Wen Liu's lab for postdoctoral training during the next three years. He have broad research interests in studying the functions, molecular mechanisms, and therapeutic strategies of cancer-associate genes. Outside of scientific research, he likes running, hiking and watching movies.

荣权来自江西赣州。他于2020年在厦门大学获得理学博士学位，他的导师是刘文教授。接下来3年，他留在了实验室，并且完成了博士后工作。他对癌症相关基因的功能、分子机制和靶向干预研究有着广泛的兴趣。科研之外，他喜欢去健身房跑步、徒步旅行和看电影。

Najeeb was born in Quetta, Pakistan. He completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Pakistan before earning his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University, China, in April 2024. His doctoral research centered on employing machine learning-based methods to analyze cell lineages in early human embryonic development using scRNA-Seq data. He also has experience in Android app development using the Android Studio platform. Currently, Najeeb is excited about broadening his research horizons at COmics Lab. Outside of his academic pursuits, he loves playing basketball, chess, and finds joy in hiking.

Shiyan comes from Yongzhou, Hunan Province. She graduated from Hunan Agricultural University with a bachelor's degree in bioinformatics, and joined COmics Lab as an admin & research assistant in the summer of 2022. She loves to read (although it has been a long time since she had time to quietly read a book), climb mountains. There are many things she wants to try, and she is trying to achieve them.

诗燕来自湖南省永州市。她毕业于湖南农业大学，获得生物信息学学士学位，并于2022年夏天加入Comics Lab担任行政科研助理。她喜欢阅读（虽然已经很久没有时间安静地读一本书了），爬山，想尝试的事情很多，正在努力实现。

Jianliang was born in Shenzhen. In the summer of 2024, he graduated from South China Agriculture University majoring in Veterinary Medicine and came to COmics Lab as a research assistant. He is a shy boy, but he loves to play sports or games with his friends, so let's invite him to join you!

廖健良是土生土长的深圳人。在2024年的夏天，他毕业于华南农业大学动物医学专业，并来到COmics Lab担任科研助理。他有点害羞，但是他热爱与朋友们待在一起，无论是运动还是游戏，所以，尽情邀请他参加你们的活动吧！

Chenchen grew up in Shangqiu, Henan, who obtained his master's degree from Hainan University, and has explored the relationship among probiotics, gut microbiome and human health. He hopes to obtain high-grade scientific training at COmics Lab and make breakthroughs in the interaction between cancer genomics and human symbiosis microbiota. He likes traditional Chinese culture (Beijing Opera, Han Chinese Clothing，Chinese national music, etc.); He also relaxes by dancing （Jazz and Kpop）and playing board games. He wants to be invited to swim and play badminton instead of basketball.

臣臣成长于河南商丘，后求学于海南大学。他最初的知识背景是食品营养，曾致力探索益生菌、肠道微生物组和人类健康的微妙关系。他想要挑战自己，希望未来在COmics lab完成高质量的科研训练，并在癌症基因组和人体共生微生物组互作方面有所突破。他喜欢中国传统文化（京剧、汉服和民乐等）；也会通过街舞（Jazz/Kpop）放松身心；也喜欢组局桌游；虽然他没有很强的运动天赋，但是游泳，羽毛球也可以凑数。不过，篮球一定不要喊他，他一定会拒绝你。

I am Zhang Yuanfu, from Xinyang, Henan. Undergraduate and postgraduate students are studying at the School of Bioinformatics Science and Technology of Harbin Medical University, and have been conducting biological multi-omics data analysis. When I am resting alone, I often stay lazy on the bed, but also play badminton with friends.

本人张元福，是河南信阳人。大学本科和硕士研究生就读于哈尔滨医科大学生物信息科学与技术学院，一直进行着生物多组学数据分析。一个人休息时常会懒在床上，有朋友约也会打打羽毛球.

Yining was born in Wuzhou, Guangxi, China (the birthplace of Cantonese, historically known as Guangxin, at the border between Guangdong and Guangxi). She received her BSc in Bioinformatics from Hunan Agricultural University, and her MSc in Biology from SUSTech. After joining COmics Lab for her PhD, she continues bioinformatics research to explore liver cancer splicing. As an ‘experienced SUSTecher’, Yining has her own rhythm of life. Her wishes are to publish papers and healthily improve her badminton skills. Besides conducting serious scientific research, she proudly represents SUSTech in the badminton team and hopes to continue her hobby and speciality in her PhD. So, if you like to play badminton, don't forget to invite her. Although Yining’s MBTI is ENFP (‘happy puppies’), she prefers kittens. Her pet is a female blue bicolor Ragdoll cat named Cookie.

懿宁来自广西梧州（粤语发源地，古时称广信，处于两广交界）。她本科毕业于湖南农业大学，获生物信息学专业理学学士学位；硕士毕业于南方科技大学，获生物学专业理学硕士学位。博士加入COmics Lab后，她继续从事Dry Lab研究，进行可变剪切调控肝癌的课题探索。作为一名“老南科人”，懿宁有自己的生活节奏，她的愿望是发paper和健康涨球。在认真开展科研之余，她在羽毛球队为校争光，希望博士阶段能延续自己的爱好特长。所以，喜欢打羽毛球的各位，一定别忘了叫上她。虽然是“快乐小狗”（ENFP），但是懿宁更喜欢小猫。她的爱宠是一只名为曲奇（Cookie）的蓝双布偶妹妹。

Junhao comes from Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong Province. He completed his undergraduate and master's degrees at Sun Yat-sen University. Currently, he is an MD student in Gastrointestinal Surgery at the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. His aspiration is to become a physician-scientist. Inspired by the spirit of SUSTech — "Virtue | Truth | Advance" — Junhao feels privileged to join the COmics team for further studies. He looks forward to fostering friendly relationships and engaging in a labor of love together.

俊豪来自广东佛山顺德，本科和硕士均毕业于中山大学，目前是中山六院的胃肠外科临床型博士生。他的志向是成为一名医生科学家。秉承南方科技大学“明德求是，日新自强”的校训精神，俊豪有幸加入COmics团队进一步学习，希望能与大家友好相处，一起为兴趣发电。

Wei is a native of Huanggang, Hubei who grew up in Guilin, Guangxi. She graduated from the Biopharmaceutical Department of Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a bachelor's degree. Although she is a cross-professional, she is also working hard to become a person who can complete the project independently in the COmics Lab. She likes volleyball, swimming, playing piano, singing, novels with exciting plots and warm words, and two lovely puffs at home, Border Collie Pudding and Stray Dog (used to be) Dongdong.

陶玮是个在广西桂林长大的湖北黄冈人。本科毕业于华中科技大学生物制药系，虽然是跨专业，但她也正在努力成为COmics Lab中能独立完成课题的人。她喜欢排球、游泳、弹琴、唱歌、情节扣人心弦文字温暖的小说、家里两只可爱的汪——边牧布丁和流浪犬东东。

Walden Hu was born in Zhuzhou, Hunan and grew up in Shenzhen, Guangdong. She graduated in Bioscience from Central South University , studying population genetics in Chen Chao’s lab. She is now studying immunity, trying to find out something interesting in this area. She is also an extremely cool hiphopper who is high on rap and street dance.

胡蝶慧AKA.小蝴蝶（or WaldenHU），是在广东深圳长大的湖南株洲人（这样说也算是广东人了O(∩_∩)O）。本科毕业于中南大学生物科学专业，在遗传系陈超实验室里主要在群体遗传学方面进行学习。现于COmics Lab中进行免疫相关的学习与探索。小蝴蝶喜欢探索她喜欢的新鲜事物，是一个搞笑hiphopper~喜欢说唱和街舞，希望能把HIPHOP精神注入科研的血液中，而不只是停留在自己迷人的外表~

He is a people with 96.72% gene from Northern Chinese Han, and he live in Shandong province from kindergarten to university. Besides, 3% of his genes are from homo neanderthalensis. He is a computer programmer whose primary interest is in Genetics. In COmics, he wants to study life science systematically and to discover the secret between genetic code and human health. He is fond of reading, swimming, and traveling. His New Year’s wishes of 2023 are getting thin, paper publishing and being admitted as a Graduate student. If he succeeds in losing weight, he will change this portrait (he did it).

Xiyue was born in Guangzhou, Guangdong, and finished all her studies in Guangzhou. In 2022, she graduated from the Veterinary Medicine of South China Agricultural University. She came to Shenzhen and joined COMICS in the summer of 2023, in hopes to discover more interesting things in COMICS. She has two lovely dogs, Bobby and Nini. She loves many kinds of sports, especially tennis. She also trying to improve her ability to eat spicy food (so ask her when eating Hunan/Sichuan cuisine).

禧悦出生于广东广州，在广州完成了自己从小学到大学的学习生活，于2022年毕业于华南农业大学动物医学专业。在2023年的夏天，她求学的脚步来到了深圳，希望在COMICS进行更多的学习与探索。她有两只可爱的小狗，波比和妮妮。她喜欢各种运动，特别是打网球。最近也在挑战吃辣的食物（所以吃辣的时候可以叫她）。

Mingjie earned her Bachelor's in Bioinformatics from Huazhong Agricultural University in the summer of 2024 and was fortunate to join the research family at COmics Lab. She is deeply passionate about bioinformatics and eager to explore the frontiers of human knowledge. In her personal life, she enjoys playing video games, badminton, and binge-watching TV shows. She adores cats, dogs, and all cute stuff!

明洁于2024年夏天从华中农业大学取得生物信息学学士学位，并有幸加入COmics Lab这个科研大家庭。她对于生物信息学抱有极大的热忱，渴望去探索人类的边界。在生活中，她喜欢打游戏，打羽毛球以及刷美剧，她非常喜欢小猫小狗大猫大狗和一切可爱的事物！

Yunsu is from Yibin, Sichuan, and graduated from Guangxi University in 2024. She loves spicy food and Zhe’ergen (a Sichuan specialty), enjoys listening to Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey, and is fond of city walks. As for sports, she “forced” herself to run every day during her undergraduate years, but she really dislikes running. In her childhood, she learned a bit of tennis, enjoys playing badminton, and likes playing soccer (though she’s not very good at it). She’s a slow-to-warm-up person, so if you think she’s quiet, you’ve been fooled…
